Web Searching

Please use the proper format for your bibliographies and citations.  Check the BibHelpers in the Reference Room or the English Department Style Guide (pdf format) here.

We have some books on this topic in the library; do a keyword search for middle ages or the specific time period AND the country of your topic.  Please check world history sources in the Reference Room, as well as the school encyclopedias for general information.  Finally, you can look at our online resources, including SIRS Researcher, Britannica 2000, and Worldbook 2000.

The links below are pretty broad, and I have left out some countries, for which you already have resources, either in the classroom or in the library.  Nevertheless, if your country isn't listed, please check the broad resources listed below first.  When looking for information on the net, please check Yahoo! first.  This sites organization and !hand-picked" links will be your best resource.  In fact, many of the links below are directly from a simple search at Yahoo!  Finally, you may want to check out the very broad (and mostly European) links to the Middle Ages from Ms. Metz' project last year here.
