The body is an instrument, the mind its function, the witness and reward of its operation. George Santayana (1863–1952), U.S. philosopher, poet. The Life of Reason,“Reason in Common Sense,” ch. 9 (1905–6).
We have books on your topics in the library, both in the stacks and in the primary and secondary reference room, as well as books for science projects; do a keyword and/or subject search in the OPAC and put it in quotation marks (e.g. "human body"); many of these have already been reserved for you by Ms. Field. As well, you should look at our online resources, including SIRS Discoverer, Britannica and Worldbook. The links below are just to get you started. They relate to specific sites for science projects on the human body and its systems, and science fair projects for Primary students. If you do your own search, you should use Yahoo! first, as it lists topics much more completely and accurately than if you use an open search engine like Google. As always, if you need any help, please see Mr. Rompf or Ms. Field. The following sites are for Science Projects for Primary. Many are lists of basic ideas; you'll have to figure out how to do the project. All these sites do contain specific projects for the human body. You may need help with this, so ask your teacher...
The following sites are specifically on the human body. By looking at these, you can do research once you've picked a topic AND you can also look for interesting topics to choose from.
