Web Searching

Please use the proper format for your bibliographies and citations.  Check the BibHelpers in the Reference Room or the English Department Style Guide (pdf format) here.

We have books on these topics in the library; do a keyword search for the "Key Areas of Interests" on your assignment sheet; these may include "statistics," "Law," "Punishment," Security," "human rights," "Mission."  Please check our world history resources in the Reference Room, as well as the school encyclopedias for general information. Finally, you can look at our online resources, including SIRS Researcher, Britannica 2000, and Worldbook 2000.  SIRS, both in hard copy and online may be of help, as well.

When looking for information on the net, please check Yahoo! first, using the same search terms above; you may also want to check for "human rights" directly.  This sites organization and !hand-picked" links will be your best resource.  In fact, many of the links below are directly from a simple search at Yahoo!

As always, if you need any help, please see me.
