Transportation Responsibilities
Recommendations for Car-pooling


Colegio Bolivar will implement all biosafety measures for children taking the school’s transportation service. Buses will be disinfected before and after each route.

Buses assigned to students, whether owned or rented, will have a capacity stipulated in accordance with national and local regulations in force.


All students entering the buses will have their hands disinfected with glycerin alcohol at a minimum of 70% and a maximum of 90%.

All students must board the bus with their face masks on and will be instructed where to sit in order to maintain physical distance.


Air conditioning will not be used; windows will be open to allow adequate ventilation inside the bus. In case it is not possible to open the windows completely due to weather conditions, a minimum flow of ventilation shall be ensured by opening at least the front and rear windows of the bus.

The use of cell phones will not be allowed inside the bus.


Food eating shall not be allowed inside the bus.

All school vehicles will be disinfected after each trip in accordance with established cleaning and disinfection protocols.

Specific responsibilities at entry points

Main Gate
  • Current porter’s lodge staff, except for the security guards who are exclusively in charge of security.
  • The porter’s lodge has a complete disinfection kit to perform the entry procedure before 06:00 a.m.
  • Employees entering through the front door will have their hands disinfected .
  • After admitting the student, he/she should take the assigned route through the front of the Library to his/her first period class, Pre-primary or Elementary classroom.
Rotonda, Palo de Mango, Limoncillo and El Nido
  • Disinfection will take place in front of the flag stand area and at the corner of the Library.
  • Students will be directed to their first period class or Pre-primary or Elementary classroom.
  • There will be no additional staff. Monitors may assist at the various entry points or help direct children to class, ensuring physical distancing and proper use of face masks.
  • There will be an employee at the sanitizing point in Limoncillo for hand sanitizing control.
  • Support staff from all academic sections will ensure that students maintain physical distance, disinfect their hands, and go directly to their classrooms .
  • There will be an employee at the sanitizing point in Limoncillo for hand sanitizing control.
  • Drivers will assist with student belongings.
  • At the end of the admission, the Lemongrass disinfection kit must be taken to El Nido, where the disinfection process will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. The kit must be returned to the entrance of the Limoncillo.
  • The gate to El Nido will open at 7:30 a.m.
  • There will be an El Nido employee for hand sanitization control.
  • An administrative staff member will be present at all times.
