One of the most important aspects of the agriculture course is inclucate the idea of reducing consumption, reusing equipment and resources and recycling materials where possible.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

When I came into the Limoncillo carpart at the start of the year I noticed a lot of used wood, planks in cement filled plastic bottles and logs \u00a0cut from trees at the school. \u00a0I asked Diego Arias, the head of maintenance, if these were free to be reused. He said if we can move it we could have it.<\/p>\n

I put students in charge of taking this bonanza to the garden. The idea was that we could use these to help construct the garden.<\/p>\n

The students started by walking materials to the garden. After two such events I noticed the school tractor, with Julian David Diaz at the controls, coming to Limoncillo with students. The students had commandeered the use of the tractor, Manuela principal among them.<\/p>\n

We filled the tractor with reusable material and the students unloaded and organised everything for future use.<\/p>\n
