On another bright and sunny day the location of the Davis Vantage Pro 2 Weather station was discussed with input from maintenance, IT, STEAM, Sustainability groups and the science department.<\/p>\n

After considering a number of locations the site settled for was behind the SWALL between the G and H blocks, just lower down from the Sunflowers on our campus.<\/p>\n

Setting up the tripod and figuring out how to attach the weather station to it.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Getting the weather station level took a bit of time<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Success. The weather station was levelled and orientated correctly so that accurate and precise data could be collected on wind direction. <\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Katie and I set up the weather station with help from a number of maintenance guys, Nelson and William.\u00a0 Temporary fencing was put in place and the station went live later that day.<\/p>\n

First data from the weather station was observed and plenty of dicussions were held regarding the amount of rainfall we were getting.<\/p>\n

The location of the weather station was selected to ensure access to sunlight all day. Also, a central location so that it gives visability to the community.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Stefania Ruiz, our Webmaster made a link to the data on the School\u00b4s website that can be accessed by anyone from our community.<\/p>\n
