We do this by looking at the color of the shell of the coffee, if it&#8217;s anywhere from a vibrant red to a yellowish tinted red; then, the coffee is ready to be picked from the plant.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Then we take all the coffee beans with their shells and we put them through the \u201cpulpidora\u201d which is a machine that squeezes the coffee bean to get rid of the colorful shell. After all the beans have had their shells removed and washed in clean water, we let them sit. This is done naturally by laying them on a sack and putting them in direct sunlight. This takes approximately a week to two weeks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The next process is to remove the outer protective layer of the coffee bean. This process is done by hand, by chipping off this layer until only the bean is left. When all the coffee beans have had this layer removed the beans go through a quality control. We check all the beans by their hue of color, all the beans that are beige, or beige with little black spots are perfect for producing coffee.
