The Administrative Assistant, Olga Patino (011-572-485 5050 \/ email: <a href=\"mailto:olpatino@colegiobolivar.edu.co\">olpatino@colegiobolivar.edu.co<\/a>), handles this matter for our school, and all foreign-hire teachers should stay in contact with her to inform the status of their visas both before their arrival and throughout their stay. The school will pay all costs for the processing of the visa for foreign staff (this does not include vaccinations or passport) as long as you have the proper receipts.<\/p>\n<p>Stay in touch, as well, with your consulate. They all seem to have different ways of doing things.<\/p>\n<p>In the following link you can locate the nearest Colombian Consulate:<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/www.cancilleria.gov.co\/embajadas-consulados-colombia-exterior. Please don&#8217;t forget to start the process online through your nearest Colombian consulate&#8217;s website. This can take approximately 2 weeks.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">As soon as you are hired, you should send a copy of your passport (may be scanned and attached to an email) to Olga, as well as your &#8220;home&#8221; city, the location from which and to which your travel arrangements will be made.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>By the end of May the school will send the documentation you require to start the process.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Colombian government requires a working visa (Visa MIGRANTE) for all foreigners who hold jobs in this country.
