Since its founding in 1947, Colegio Bolivar has played a vital role in educating youth in an open, understanding, stimulating and demanding environment designed to inspire intelligence, creativity and autonomy. Over time, the school has earned a strong reputation as a leader in progressive education in Latin America, providing alumni with the tools to become contributing citizens. The establishment of the Endowment Fund will allow to assure the continued development of our strategic vision, maintaining and continually enhancing our physical and technological infrastructure and educational programs to meet the highest and most rigorous standards of quality.
Children come to Colegio Bolivar with amazing potential, and here they learn to release their imagination, to strengthen their intellectual curiosity and harness their will. Our graduates have made great contributions worldwide, in part because of the education we provided them. The best possible model for sustaining a vibrant educational institution is a strong endowment. An endowment fund is a permanent, predictable and growing source of revenue for future generations. Unrestricted giving stands out as a particularly vital form of funding, supporting every dimension of the school’s operation. The Endowment Fund will be used to help support ongoing facilities development – classroom and student support buildings, playing fields, and green spaces on Colegio Bolivar’s 37 acre campus are an asset of stunning beauty and enormous value, and one that requires a significant and ongoing investment. As the endowment fund increases over time, the school will be able to provide more support for all students, programs and faculty initiatives.

Future Projects
Dale Swall Center: The renovation and modernization of the auditorium as well as construction of new spaces designed to enrich the fine arts program.
Physical Education Complex: Ongoing improvements to playing fields, outdoor courts, specialty rooms and a new gymnasium, projected to augment the sports and extracurricular programs. We hope to count with your support in the Commemorative Brick Campaign “Buy a Brick, Build a Legacy.” Your support will guarantee that the Endowment Fund will consolidate and ensure that our institution continues assuming the new challenges in the formation of citizens of the world.
Recent Projects
The Secondary Classroom Building Block J, was one of the projects of our Long Range and School Improvement Plan that culminated in the 2008-2009 School year. This building is a two story structure, which holds ten classrooms, restrooms, locker areas and patios. Construction began on June 2008 and the building was inaugurated during the second semester of this school year.
The goal of the Fundraising effort “Buy a Brick Build a Legacy” Campaign was to initiate a culture of giving and donors had a unique opportunity to be part of the school’s history placing a brick or plaque at the Secondary Building site Block J. This accomplishment demonstrates a continued commitment to our institution.
