Next Saturday, April 26, our next Bolivar Garden event will take place. This special day is an opportunity to join students, alumni, parents, faculty, staff and administrators, who all make valuable contributions to this initiative to positively impact the lives of people and our planet.
The Bolivar Garden is more than just a green space; it is a place where the Bolivar community comes together to learn, collaborate and appreciate our natural environment. Since its inception, this project has evolved to become an important resource for our school, providing a space where students can learn about organic agriculture, sustainability and collaboration.
The idea is to maintain a functional and sustainable organic garden, through the application of agroforestry practices. In the garden there is a 60m2 greenhouse and you can find bananas, corn, sweet potatoes, tomatoes and the special Don Simon Organic Coffee that is produced from the 250 coffee trees.
Participating in this experience is an opportunity to work together on agriculture and gardening projects, share knowledge and connect with other members of the Bolivar community.
Together we can make a difference and foster a culture of appreciation for sustainability and the beautiful natural environment we have at the College!
