Colegio Bolivar had the honor of hosting the Bolivar Forum 2025 on March 7 and 8, an event that reaffirms the institution’s commitment to educational excellence and innovation in teaching. Supported by the Tri-Association, this biennial forum, now in its 15th edition, has become a space for learning and collaboration among educators from Colombia and the region. Under the motto “Teachers Teaching Teachers,” the event reinforced the importance of professional learning in an ever-changing world.
This edition of the Bolivar Forum welcomed representatives from 16 schools in 11 Colombian cities and 10 schools from five countries in the region: Mexico, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Honduras, and Ecuador. The diversity of participants enriched discussions and workshops, enabling a fruitful exchange of ideas and pedagogical practices.

The event featured two impactful keynote speeches. The first keynote speaker was Ewan McIntosh, founder and director of NoTosh, who addressed the challenge of developing innovative ideas in the classroom and turning them into sustainable strategies. Meanwhile, Dr. David Virtue from Western Carolina University facilitated a reflection about humility as professionals.
Additionally, the forum offered more than 60 workshops led by national and international educators, with 30% of the sessions conducted by Colegio Bolivar personnel. These sessions reflected a wide range of approaches and the relevance of the topics in today’s educational landscape.
The response from attendees was outstanding. According to the feedback survey, completed by more than 75% of participants, over 95% expressed satisfaction or high satisfaction with the event’s organization, while more than 90% positively rated the relevance and variety of the workshops. Beyond the numbers, comments highlighted pride in the forum’s quality and gratitude for the opportunity to participate in such a valuable learning experience.

The Bolivar Forum 2025 was a testament to the power of collaboration, reflection, and innovation in education. The presence of Dr. Michael Adams, Executive Director of the Tri-Association, who expressed interest in replicating this model in other subregions, reaffirmed the event’s positive impact.
Colegio Bolivar´s gratitude goes to all attendees, speakers, and organizers who made this forum possible, as well as to our sponsors: Tri-Association, Western Carolina University, and Tecnoquímicas. With initiatives like this, we continue to prepare our educators to thrive in a dynamic and constantly evolving world.
