Qualities of Respect

Respect speaks to us of appreciation and recognition towards a person or thing. The word “respect” translates from the Latin “respectus,” which means attention or consideration. Originally, it meant “look again”; hence, something that deserves a second glance is something worthy of respect. Recognizing one’s own value, and the rights of others and society, means to treat others the same way you want them to treat you.

Qualities of Integrity

Someone with integrity is someone who always does the right thing. It is to do what we consider beneficial for ourselves and not detrimental to others. The word integrity comes from the Latin word “integritas,” which means totality, robustness, and a sound physique. The adjective “integer” signifies intact, whole, untouched, or not easily corrupted.
