Inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach (Reggio Emilia, Italy), El Nido seeks to understand the culture of childhood, believing fully in the capabilities and potential of all children.
The Reggio Approach has been recognized internationally, The New York Times stated in 2007, that this educational philosophy is "helping produce a generation of confident children — risk takers and innovators who are able to think for themselves." El Nido: A Learning Laboratory
El Nido has evolved into an innovative educational lab school that is in constant reflection, research, and action, transforming its pedagogical practice into a reference point for local, national and international schools, preschools and foundations. Professionals from different contexts have visited El Nido to experience and look closely at our practice with the purpose of learning the approach, to gain inspiration and or deepening their knowledge.
