The Bol\u00edvar delegation recently participated in the Harvard National Model United Nations Latin America (HNMUN-LA)<\/a> in Panama, which took place from January 13 to 18, 2025. Our school was represented by 14 high school students from grades 9-11: Antonella Ardila, Camilo Villegas, Carla Calero, Mar\u00eda Santacoloma, Daniel Cano, Sara Mej\u00eda, Ger\u00f3nimo Cadavid, Valeria Soto, Andr\u00e9s Camacho, Nicol\u00e1s Barrios, Juan Sebasti\u00e1n Uribe, Luc\u00eda Loaiza and Emanuel Pernett. The students were accompanied by teachers Pierre Sejnaui and Rachel Briard.\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, we brought home the First International Award from the Model UN at the Harvard Model United Nations in Panama. Student Valeria Soto participated in the Commission for the Status of Women (CSW), representing the Russian Federation, and received one of the five possible awards: an Honorable Mention. Valeria participated in a large committee with 52 delegations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are very proud of Valeria and the 14 students who represented our school with great distinction.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Harvard National Model United Nations (HNMUN) is one of the largest, oldest, and most prestigious conferences of its kind. Organized entirely by Harvard College undergraduates, HNMUN brings over 3,000 students and faculty together from colleges and universities around the world to simulate the activities of the United Nations.
