Guided by their teacher, <strong>Alain Rivera<\/strong> and <strong>\u00c1lvaro Herrera<\/strong>, they embarked on a journey into the past to investigate the classical and post-classical civilizations of the Americas\u2014such as the <strong>Incas, Mayas, Aztecs,<\/strong> and <strong>Muiscas<\/strong>\u2014combining academic research with audiovisual production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project began with an <strong>inquiry phase,<\/strong> during which students divided into smaller groups, each assigned a different civilization to study. They researched historical sources and created concept maps, maps, and timelines to understand the cultural, geographical, and social aspects of their topic. This phase allowed students to build a solid foundation of knowledge in a critical and organized way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Next came the <strong>production phase<\/strong>, where students brought their research to life by creating a news broadcast. Each group designed interviews in which students, acting as experts on their assigned civilizations, explained the key findings of their investigations. These interviews went beyond simple oral presentations\u2014they were recorded and edited into news segments that formed part of the final broadcast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" data-id=\"31067\" src=\"https:\/\/www.colegiobolivar.edu.co\/website\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/20250508_112512-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-31067\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" data-id=\"31068\" src=\"https:\/\/www.colegiobolivar.edu.co\/website\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/20250508_112745-1-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-31068\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" data-id=\"31070\" src=\"https:\/\/www.colegiobolivar.edu.co\/website\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/20250508_112746-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-31070\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Despu\u00e9s de tener las entrevistas ya realizadas, las grabaciones del material central del noticiero se realizaron en el sal\u00f3n de ICT, donde los estudiantes, siguiendo guiones preparados por ellos mismos, no solo actuaron como presentadores y entrevistadores, sino que tambi\u00e9n asumieron tareas de producci\u00f3n y edici\u00f3n de video, trabajando colaborativamente para dar forma a un producto final de calidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As\u00ed, de la investigaci\u00f3n al estudio de grabaci\u00f3n, los estudiantes no solo aprendieron sobre culturas milenarias, sino tambi\u00e9n sobre comunicaci\u00f3n, tecnolog\u00eda y trabajo en equipo, demostrando que el conocimiento del aula cobra a\u00fan m\u00e1s vida cuando se interrelaciona con otros saberes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sixth-grade students in the Colombian and Latin American Studies (ECAL) course have transformed their classroom into a real television studio.
