The school recently celebrated its Sustainability Week, aligned with\u00a0Cali\u2019s Biodiversity Week.<\/a>\u00a0During these days, students from all academic sections participated in experiences designed to reflect on their role as responsible citizens toward the environment and economic, social, and environmental sustainability.<\/p>

The program included a Native Bee Exhibition in the Colgate Hall, artistic and musical presentations such as\u00a0The Colors of the Birds<\/em>\u00a0for\u00a0El Nido<\/em>\u00a0and Preprimary, and the group\u00a0Mr. Klaje<\/em>\u00a0for Elementary School. Middle and High School students took part in various workshops focused on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), addressing topics such as urban agriculture, water quality, organic farming, river rights, environmental memory, resilience, and first aid.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

One of the most inspiring moments was the talk by Luis Mazariegos (Class of 1980), a Colegio Bol\u00edvar alumnus and founder of Bioconservancy, who shared his experience at the Mesenia-Paramillo Nature Reserve, where he leads conservation and research projects that have resulted in the discovery of more than 100 new species for science.<\/p>

Events like this reflect\u00a0C<\/strong>olegio Bol\u00edvar\u2019s commitment to its purpose of educating for sustainability, fostering in students the awareness, action, and leadership needed to care for and preserve the environment. Sustainability Week reaffirms that every learning experience, every gesture, and every decision can contribute to building a more balanced and sustainable future for all.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
