Como parte de una tradici\u00f3n que celebra el m\u00e9rito y el compromiso, la Comunidad Bol\u00edvar otorg\u00f3 sus reconocimientos institucionales a los estudiantes que sobresalieron por su desempe\u00f1o acad\u00e9mico y la vivencia de los valores que distinguen a nuestra comunidad.<\/span><\/p>

Los premios Bill Barret y Martin Felton, as\u00ed como la beca Mar\u00eda del Pilar P\u00e9rez, exaltan en nuestros estudiantes cualidades como la autonom\u00eda, la responsabilidad y el sentido de comunidad, principios que los preparan para asumir con liderazgo los desaf\u00edos de su vida profesional y contribuir positivamente a la sociedad.<\/span><\/p>

Los estudiantes galardonados respondieron estas tres preguntas:<\/span><\/p>

    1. Todos los valores bolivar contienen una importancia \u00fanica y enorme, y poseerlos todos te hacen una persona ejemplar. Sin duda creo que la base para construir relaciones y prosperar como comunidad empiezan por el respeto y la honestidad. <\/span><\/li>
    2. Siguiendo los valores Bol\u00edvar, lograr\u00e9 ser un miembro de comunidad ejemplar en donde sea que termine. El Colegio me ense\u00f1\u00f3 que el \u00e9xito no se mide \u00fanicamente por los logros personales, sino tambi\u00e9n por la capacidad de generar oportunidades y servir a los dem\u00e1s.<\/span><\/li>
    3. Yo creo que todav\u00eda no tengo idea alguna de que ser\u00e1 de m\u00ed al transcurrir diez a\u00f1os. Lo m\u00e1s probable es que est\u00e9 trabajando en algo, ya sea un emprendimiento, un proyecto o puede que sea un ejecutivo dentro de una compa\u00f1\u00eda. Pero si de algo estoy seguro es que estoy rodeado de gente, perteneciendo a una comunidad. El Bol\u00edvar me deja unas bases acad\u00e9micas s\u00f3lidas las cuales seguir\u00e9 fortaleciendo mediante el estudio y la experiencia, pero sin duda lo m\u00e1s valioso que me deja esta instituci\u00f3n son las habilidades de relacionarme con las personas, las capacidades de liderar dentro de mi comunidad y los recursos para empatizar con los dem\u00e1s.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

      1. Como estudiante del Colegio Bol\u00edvar, uno de los aprendizajes m\u00e1s significativos fue la importancia de nuestros valores, espec\u00edficamente los 7 Bol\u00edvar values. Personalmente, considero que la excelencia personal, el sentido de comunidad y el liderazgo son los m\u00e1s fundamentales. La excelencia personal nos impulsa a ir m\u00e1s all\u00e1 y dar lo mejor para lograr cada meta que nos propongamos; el sentido de comunidad nos recuerda que el crecimiento personal no tiene sentido si no genera bienestar colectivo; y el liderazgo te permite articular esos valores para generar algo real y tangible. Estos tres son los pilares que forman a personas capaces de generar un impacto positivo y constructivo.<\/span><\/li>
      2. Planeo contribuir transform\u00e1ndome en una profesional con una s\u00f3lida preparaci\u00f3n acad\u00e9mica, capaz de dise\u00f1ar y liderar iniciativas que generen un cambio positivo en la comunidad. Mi objetivo es aplicar las herramientas anal\u00edticas y la rigurosidad que recib\u00ed en el colegio para abordar retos sociales, ambientales, o de salud. Busco devolverle a la sociedad las oportunidades que he tenido, liderando hacia el bienestar colectivo.<\/span><\/li>
      3. Dentro de diez a\u00f1os me veo como una profesional consolidada, trabajando en investigaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica y cursando estudios de maestr\u00eda o doctorado. Me visualizo aplicando la microbiolog\u00eda para resolver problemas complejos, pero manteniendo siempre mi vocaci\u00f3n social; por eso, me encantar\u00eda seguir vinculada a fundaciones educativas en Colombia, como EducAcci\u00f3n Col, para continuar aportando al desarrollo de mi comunidad. Mi educaci\u00f3n escolar fue la br\u00fajula que me gui\u00f3 a elegir mi carrera y foment\u00f3 los valores que me hacen quien soy. El Bol\u00edvar me ense\u00f1\u00f3 las herramientas para poder hacer las dos cosas que amo.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

        1. Aunque los siete valores que inculca el colegio son vitales en la etapa formativa de los estudiantes, los que considero m\u00e1s importantes son la integridad, el compromiso social y la excelencia personal. Estos tres valores se alejan de lo estrictamente acad\u00e9mico, fomentando un sentido de responsabilidad con el entorno y enfoc\u00e1ndose en el aspecto m\u00e1s humano de los estudiantes: su integridad, sus principios y su crecimiento tanto individual como colectivo. Adem\u00e1s, son valores universales, pues no dependen del rendimiento acad\u00e9mico ni de resultados, sino de la manera en que cada persona decide vivir y aportar al mundo. Se alinean con la misi\u00f3n del Colegio Bol\u00edvar de formar estudiantes acad\u00e9micamente preparados y, sobre todo, ciudadanos conscientes y comprometidos.<\/span><\/li>
        2. Planeo contribuir a mi comunidad con el sentido de liderazgo que el colegio inculc\u00f3 en m\u00ed desde muy temprana edad. Alejada de su definici\u00f3n estereot\u00edpica de autoridad o protagonismo, entiendo este valor como la capacidad de inspirar y servir a los dem\u00e1s. Este liderazgo me permite guiar a las personas siempre con una actitud positiva, promoviendo la empat\u00eda, la colaboraci\u00f3n y el deseo de generar un impacto genuino en mi entorno.<\/span><\/li>
        3. Aunque siento que mi camino profesional dentro de diez a\u00f1os es incierto, tengo la certeza de que quiero servir a mi comunidad promoviendo la transformaci\u00f3n social y la educaci\u00f3n. S\u00e9 que usar\u00e9 las competencias que el colegio me brind\u00f3 para dejar una huella positiva en la sociedad, ya sea trabajando directamente con ni\u00f1os y j\u00f3venes en situaci\u00f3n de vulnerabilidad o colaborando con fundaciones locales que promuevan la equidad, el acceso a oportunidades y el desarrollo integral de las comunidades.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>

            As part of a longstanding tradition that celebrates excellence and commitment, the Colegio Bol\u00edvar community presented its institutional awards to students who distinguished themselves through outstanding academic achievement and by exemplifying the values that define our community.<\/p>\n

            The Bill Barret Award<\/strong>, the Martin Felton Award<\/strong>, and the Mar\u00eda del Pilar P\u00e9rez Scholarship<\/strong> recognize students who embody qualities such as independence, responsibility, leadership, and a strong sense of community\u2014principles that prepare them to face the challenges of their professional lives while making meaningful contributions to society.<\/p>\n

              1. Every Bol\u00edvar value holds a unique and profound importance, and embracing all of them makes you an exemplary person. If I had to choose, I believe that respect and integrity are the foundation for building meaningful relationships and fostering a thriving community.<\/li>
              2. By living the Bol\u00edvar values, I hope to become a positive and responsible member of any community I join. Colegio Bol\u00edvar taught me that success is not measured solely by personal achievements, but also by our ability to create opportunities for others and to serve those around us.<\/li>
              3. \u00a0Honestly, I have no clear idea where I will be ten years from now. Most likely, I will be working\u2014perhaps building my own business, leading a project, or serving as an executive within a company. What I do know is that I will be surrounded by people and be part of a community. Bol\u00edvar has given me a strong academic foundation that I will continue to strengthen through education and experience. More importantly, however, it has equipped me with the ability to build meaningful relationships, lead within my community, and empathize with others.                 1. As a Colegio Bol\u00edvar student, one of the most meaningful lessons I learned was the importance of our values, especially the Seven Bol\u00edvar Values<\/strong>. Personally, I believe that Personal Excellence<\/strong>, Community<\/strong>, and Leadership<\/strong> are the most fundamental. Personal Excellence inspires us to go beyond expectations and give our very best in everything we do. A sense of Community reminds us that personal growth has little meaning unless it contributes to the well-being of others. Leadership allows us to bring those values together and turn them into meaningful action. Together, these three values form the foundation of individuals who are capable of creating a positive and lasting impact.<\/li>
                2. I plan to contribute to my community by becoming a highly prepared professional, equipped with the knowledge and skills to design and lead initiatives that create positive change. My goal is to apply the analytical thinking and academic rigor I developed at Colegio Bol\u00edvar to address social, environmental, and public health challenges. I hope to give back to society by using the opportunities I have received to lead initiatives that promote the common good.<\/li>
                3. Ten years from now, I see myself as an established professional working in scientific research while pursuing a master’s degree or a Ph.D. I envision applying microbiology to solve complex problems while remaining committed to serving others. For that reason, I hope to continue collaborating with educational foundations in Colombia, such as EducAcci\u00f3n Col<\/strong>, to help strengthen and support my community. My school education was the compass that guided me toward my chosen career and nurtured the values that define who I am today. Although all seven values instilled by Colegio Bol\u00edvar are essential to students’ development, I believe the most important are Integrity<\/strong>, Social Commitment<\/strong>, and Personal Excellence<\/strong>. These three values extend beyond academics, fostering a sense of responsibility toward others and emphasizing the most human aspects of our character: our integrity, our principles, and our growth as individuals and as members of a community. They are also universal values because they are not defined by grades or achievements, but by the way each person chooses to live and contribute to the world. They reflect Colegio Bol\u00edvar’s mission of preparing students not only for academic success, but also to become thoughtful, responsible, and engaged citizens.<\/li>
                  2. I plan to contribute to my community by embracing the spirit of leadership that Colegio Bol\u00edvar has nurtured in me from an early age. Rather than viewing leadership through the traditional lens of authority or recognition, I understand it as the ability to inspire and serve others.
