First off, congratulations! Despite collectively spending most of the year on the verge of failing Calculus and Spanish, we made it. We’re finally free. At least most of us. I still have the insurmountable challenge of delivering this speech without putting half the audience to sleep.<\/span><\/p>

Writing this speech was surprisingly difficult. I kept trying to think of some profound memory that could serve as the foundation for a wise and inspiring message. Instead, all I could remember were the dumbest moments imaginable.<\/span><\/p>

The heavy eyelids after Posso’s exams. The collective breakdowns after Physics Honors. The fear of being relentlessly clowned by my friends for asking literally any question in class. And, of course, those legendary people who waited until 11:59 p.m. to ask if there was a test the next morning\u2014even though it had been announced for two weeks.<\/span><\/p>

At first, I was frustrated that all the \u00abimportant\u00bb memories seemed to have disappeared. But eventually I realized something: those small, ridiculous moments were the important memories. They were the experience.<\/span><\/p>

Without every stressful day, every inside joke, every embarrassing moment and every laugh, none of us would be who we are today.<\/span><\/p>

To me, life is simply a series of challenges that look impossible at first but, with enough perseverance\u2014and a healthy amount of self-deprecating humor\u2014we somehow overcome.<\/span><\/p>

Take me, for example. Just last year, I was ranked eleventh in the class. I wasn’t even close to qualifying for Honor Society. But after a lot of hard work, a questionable number of skipped parches, and more hours studying than I’d like to admit, I somehow ended up graduating with the babero and everything.<\/span><\/p>

Honestly, I never would have bet on myself to end up here. Maybe that’s the lesson: live fully, work hard, and approach life like a problem worth solving. You might end up accomplishing goals you never even imagined.<\/span><\/p>

Of course, struggle changes you. Anyone who survived Physics with Juanca knows that. And it can feel intimidating to step into a world where success is never guaranteed. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned after eleven years at this school, it’s that every single person sitting here has already proven they’re capable of overcoming challenges. We showed up. We persevered. And today, we get to celebrate this milestone together.<\/span><\/p>

So, as someone whose life philosophy is <\/span>SUWS<\/b>\u2014<\/span>Screwing Up With Style<\/span><\/i>\u2014I encourage you to keep taking risks. Take that intimidating class. Play in that tournament. Start that business. Challenge Miguel to an arm-wrestling match. And don’t be afraid to fail spectacularly. Some of the best things in life happen when we chase something bigger than ourselves.<\/span><\/p>

But when life inevitably becomes overwhelming, hold on to the little things. The Mole jokes in AP Stats. Laughing during lunch over absolutely nothing. The parties at Cubi’s farm. Life is far more whimsical than we often give it credit for, and those moments will carry you farther than you think.<\/span><\/p>

Before I finish, I’d like to thank our incredible school, our teachers, every member of the staff who made this place feel like home, my parents and siblings for always believing in my absurd ideas, my grandfather, who taught me to love learning, and God for His countless blessings.<\/span><\/p>

And finally, to the Class of 2026\u2014especially my friends\u2014thank you for making this a place worth coming to, even on the days I had seven summatives.<\/span><\/p>

Antes que nada, \u00a1felicitaciones!<\/strong>\u00a0A pesar de que, como grupo, pasamos gran parte del a\u00f1o al borde de perder C\u00e1lculo y Espa\u00f1ol, lo logramos. Por fin somos libres. Bueno\u2026 al menos la mayor\u00eda. Yo todav\u00eda tengo el enorme desaf\u00edo de dar este discurso sin que la mitad del p\u00fablico se quede dormida.<\/p>

Escribir este discurso result\u00f3 ser sorprendentemente dif\u00edcil. Intent\u00e9 encontrar alg\u00fan recuerdo profundo que sirviera de base para un mensaje sabio e inspirador. Pero, en lugar de eso, lo \u00fanico que ven\u00eda a mi mente eran los momentos m\u00e1s absurdos que vivimos.<\/p>

Los p\u00e1rpados pesados despu\u00e9s de los ex\u00e1menes de Posso. Las crisis colectivas despu\u00e9s de F\u00edsica Honors. El miedo a que mis amigos se burlaran sin piedad de m\u00ed por hacer literalmente cualquier pregunta en clase. Y, por supuesto, esas personas legendarias que esperaban hasta las 11:59 p. m. para preguntar si al d\u00eda siguiente hab\u00eda examen\u2026 aunque lo hubieran anunciado desde hac\u00eda dos semanas.<\/p>

Al principio me frustr\u00f3 sentir que los recuerdos \u00abimportantes\u00bb se hab\u00edan desvanecido. Pero despu\u00e9s entend\u00ed algo: esos peque\u00f1os momentos rid\u00edculos eran, precisamente, los recuerdos importantes.\u00a0Ellos fueron la experiencia.<\/strong><\/p>

Sin cada d\u00eda estresante, cada chiste interno, cada momento vergonzoso y cada carcajada, ninguno de nosotros ser\u00eda quien es hoy.<\/p>

Para m\u00ed, la vida es simplemente una sucesi\u00f3n de desaf\u00edos que al principio parecen imposibles, pero que, con suficiente perseverancia \u2014y una buena dosis de sentido del humor para re\u00edrnos de nosotros mismos\u2014, de alguna manera logramos superar.<\/p>

T\u00f3menme como ejemplo. Hace apenas un a\u00f1o ocupaba el puesto n\u00famero once de la promoci\u00f3n. Ni siquiera estaba cerca de clasificar a la Honor Society. Pero, despu\u00e9s de mucho esfuerzo, de una cantidad bastante cuestionable de\u00a0parches<\/em>\u00a0a los que no fui y de muchas m\u00e1s horas de estudio de las que me gustar\u00eda admitir, termin\u00e9 gradu\u00e1ndome con el\u00a0babero<\/strong>\u00a0y todo.<\/p>

La verdad, nunca habr\u00eda apostado por m\u00ed mismo para terminar aqu\u00ed. Tal vez esa sea la lecci\u00f3n: vivan plenamente, trabajen duro y enfrenten la vida como un problema que vale la pena resolver. Puede que terminen alcanzando metas que jam\u00e1s imaginaron.<\/p>

Claro que las dificultades nos transforman. Cualquiera que haya sobrevivido a F\u00edsica con Juanca lo sabe. Y puede dar miedo salir al mundo sabiendo que el \u00e9xito nunca est\u00e1 garantizado. Pero si hay algo que aprend\u00ed despu\u00e9s de once a\u00f1os en este colegio, es que cada una de las personas que est\u00e1 sentada aqu\u00ed ya demostr\u00f3 que es capaz de superar grandes desaf\u00edos. Estuvimos presentes. Perseveramos. Y hoy tenemos el privilegio de celebrar este logro juntos.<\/p>

As\u00ed que, como alguien cuya filosof\u00eda de vida es\u00a0SUWS (Screwing Up With Style)<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014equivocarse con estilo\u2014, los invito a seguir tomando riesgos. Inscr\u00edbanse en esa clase que les intimida. Participen en ese torneo. Emprendan ese negocio. Reten a Miguel a un pulso. Y no tengan miedo de fracasar de manera espectacular. Algunas de las mejores cosas de la vida suceden cuando nos atrevemos a perseguir algo m\u00e1s grande que nosotros mismos.<\/p>

Pero cuando la vida inevitablemente se vuelva abrumadora, af\u00e9rrense a las peque\u00f1as cosas. Los chistes de Mole en AP Stats. Las risas durante el almuerzo por absolutamente nada. Las fiestas en la finca de Cubi. La vida es mucho m\u00e1s divertida y extraordinaria de lo que solemos creer, y esos momentos los acompa\u00f1ar\u00e1n mucho m\u00e1s lejos de lo que imaginan.<\/p>

Antes de terminar, quiero agradecer a nuestro incre\u00edble colegio, a nuestros profesores, a cada miembro del personal que hizo de este lugar un verdadero hogar, a mis padres y a mis hermanos por creer siempre en mis ideas m\u00e1s descabelladas, a mi abuelo, quien me ense\u00f1\u00f3 a amar el aprendizaje, y a Dios por sus incontables bendiciones.<\/p>

Y, finalmente, a la Promoci\u00f3n 2026 \u2014especialmente a mis amigos\u2014, gracias por hacer de este un lugar al que siempre val\u00eda la pena venir, incluso en esos d\u00edas en los que ten\u00eda siete evaluaciones acumulativas.<\/p>
