We recently harvested the maize that we planted in November last year.

Different colours and shapes were developed through the planting.

Not all the maize grew well due to the landslide that occurred, but we did harvest a variety of maize that is ready to be re-planted.  It will be re-planted but in a different way – using rows and guide stakes to help the maize grow to make most use of the space that we have in the terrace.    Students were very excited at the variety of the maize that was harvested.

Beans were also harvested by students – not many grew – however, those that did were collected, were cooked and eaten. More will be collected and used to re-plant the terrace and in the coffee plot whilst trees are re-growing after pruning.
