With the main structure now finished all that is left to do is to add netting to the sides and to the roof, cement the netting in, so that animals cannot get into the terrace and add a door.

Gardeners with students putting the netting in place. You can see the trench underneath the netting: this will be filled with cement to stop animals from getting into the structure.
Cement was poured to secure the netting in place and to ensure that animals could not enter the terrace
Trusses in place on the back side of the terrace

Miguel nailing trusses to the plastic posts to ensure greater stability of the structure.

The school´s gardeners helped with putting up the netting and adding cement to the structure. We also discovered that we needed support trusses to push in the plastic posts as the weight of the roof was pushing them outwards. These were added by students.

Bamboo poles put in place to support the roof structure. You can see the newly planted maize in the mounds growing nicely.

A door was added to the structure and finally we added some extra bamboo poles to support the roof structure, raising it slightly.
