This week has been by far one of the busiest yet most rewarding weeks at Colegio Bolivar, especially as we in the science department have been at the forefront of Sustainability activities for our Sustainability Week.
The week began with the opportunity to bring in Tomato expert David Bravo, his wife and Luna their dog to school to talk about their hydroponic organic tomato business, D’Amarare Organico. The interaction of the agric students with David was very inriching: they learnt practical skills in situ with David in our greenhouse, and had a very rewarding discussion in our lab – knowledge they will put to use when they set up their tomato plants.
