Como parte de una tradición que celebra el mérito y el compromiso, la Comunidad Bolívar otorgó sus reconocimientos institucionales a los estudiantes que sobresalieron por su desempeño académico y la vivencia de los valores que distinguen a nuestra comunidad.
Los premios Bill Barret y Martin Felton, así como la beca María del Pilar Pérez, exaltan en nuestros estudiantes cualidades como la autonomía, la responsabilidad y el sentido de comunidad, principios que los preparan para asumir con liderazgo los desafíos de su vida profesional y contribuir positivamente a la sociedad.
Los estudiantes galardonados respondieron estas tres preguntas:

Premio Bill Barrett: Agustín Garcés
- Todos los valores bolivar contienen una importancia única y enorme, y poseerlos todos te hacen una persona ejemplar. Sin duda creo que la base para construir relaciones y prosperar como comunidad empiezan por el respeto y la honestidad.
- Siguiendo los valores Bolívar, lograré ser un miembro de comunidad ejemplar en donde sea que termine. El Colegio me enseñó que el éxito no se mide únicamente por los logros personales, sino también por la capacidad de generar oportunidades y servir a los demás.
- Yo creo que todavía no tengo idea alguna de que será de mí al transcurrir diez años. Lo más probable es que esté trabajando en algo, ya sea un emprendimiento, un proyecto o puede que sea un ejecutivo dentro de una compañía. Pero si de algo estoy seguro es que estoy rodeado de gente, perteneciendo a una comunidad. El Bolívar me deja unas bases académicas sólidas las cuales seguiré fortaleciendo mediante el estudio y la experiencia, pero sin duda lo más valioso que me deja esta institución son las habilidades de relacionarme con las personas, las capacidades de liderar dentro de mi comunidad y los recursos para empatizar con los demás.
Premio Martin Felton: María Paula González
- Como estudiante del Colegio Bolívar, uno de los aprendizajes más significativos fue la importancia de nuestros valores, específicamente los 7 Bolívar values. Personalmente, considero que la excelencia personal, el sentido de comunidad y el liderazgo son los más fundamentales. La excelencia personal nos impulsa a ir más allá y dar lo mejor para lograr cada meta que nos propongamos; el sentido de comunidad nos recuerda que el crecimiento personal no tiene sentido si no genera bienestar colectivo; y el liderazgo te permite articular esos valores para generar algo real y tangible. Estos tres son los pilares que forman a personas capaces de generar un impacto positivo y constructivo.
- Planeo contribuir transformándome en una profesional con una sólida preparación académica, capaz de diseñar y liderar iniciativas que generen un cambio positivo en la comunidad. Mi objetivo es aplicar las herramientas analíticas y la rigurosidad que recibí en el colegio para abordar retos sociales, ambientales, o de salud. Busco devolverle a la sociedad las oportunidades que he tenido, liderando hacia el bienestar colectivo.
- Dentro de diez años me veo como una profesional consolidada, trabajando en investigación científica y cursando estudios de maestría o doctorado. Me visualizo aplicando la microbiología para resolver problemas complejos, pero manteniendo siempre mi vocación social; por eso, me encantaría seguir vinculada a fundaciones educativas en Colombia, como EducAcción Col, para continuar aportando al desarrollo de mi comunidad. Premio María del Pilar Pérez: Sofía Ramos
- Aunque los siete valores que inculca el colegio son vitales en la etapa formativa de los estudiantes, los que considero más importantes son la integridad, el compromiso social y la excelencia personal. Estos tres valores se alejan de lo estrictamente académico, fomentando un sentido de responsabilidad con el entorno y enfocándose en el aspecto más humano de los estudiantes: su integridad, sus principios y su crecimiento tanto individual como colectivo. Además, son valores universales, pues no dependen del rendimiento académico ni de resultados, sino de la manera en que cada persona decide vivir y aportar al mundo. Se alinean con la misión del Colegio Bolívar de formar estudiantes académicamente preparados y, sobre todo, ciudadanos conscientes y comprometidos.
- Planeo contribuir a mi comunidad con el sentido de liderazgo que el colegio inculcó en mí desde muy temprana edad. Alejada de su definición estereotípica de autoridad o protagonismo, entiendo este valor como la capacidad de inspirar y servir a los demás. - Every Bolívar value holds a unique and profound importance, and embracing all of them makes you an exemplary person. If I had to choose, I believe that respect and integrity are the foundation for building meaningful relationships and fostering a thriving community.
- By living the Bolívar values, I hope to become a positive and responsible member of any community I join. Colegio Bolívar taught me that success is not measured solely by personal achievements, but also by our ability to create opportunities for others and to serve those around us.
- Honestly, I have no clear idea where I will be ten years from now. Most likely, I will be working—perhaps building my own business, leading a project, or serving as an executive within a company. What I do know is that I will be surrounded by people and be part of a community. Bolívar has given me a strong academic foundation that I will continue to strengthen through education and experience. More importantly, however, it has equipped me with the ability to build meaningful relationships, lead within my community, and empathize with others. - As a Colegio Bolívar student, one of the most meaningful lessons I learned was the importance of our values, especially the Seven Bolívar Values. Personally, I believe that Personal Excellence, Community, and Leadership are the most fundamental. Personal Excellence inspires us to go beyond expectations and give our very best in everything we do. A sense of Community reminds us that personal growth has little meaning unless it contributes to the well-being of others. Leadership allows us to bring those values together and turn them into meaningful action. Together, these three values form the foundation of individuals who are capable of creating a positive and lasting impact.
- I plan to contribute to my community by becoming a highly prepared professional, equipped with the knowledge and skills to design and lead initiatives that create positive change. My goal is to apply the analytical thinking and academic rigor I developed at Colegio Bolívar to address social, environmental, and public health challenges. I hope to give back to society by using the opportunities I have received to lead initiatives that promote the common good.

They are also universal values because they are not defined by grades or achievements, but by the way each person chooses to live and contribute to the world. They reflect Colegio Bolívar’s mission of preparing students not only for academic success, but also to become thoughtful, responsible, and engaged citizens.
- I plan to contribute to my community by embracing the spirit of leadership that Colegio Bolívar has nurtured in me from an early age.
