“I feel fortunate to be standing here addressing all of you today. Congratulations to all my classmates for reaching this important milestone and thank you to all of our families for acting as a constant support system throughout the past 18 years. I believe the most important thing we have learned at Colegio Bolivar is the importance of Community.
It is evident that we have gone through High School facing a lot of adversity and uncertainty. We lived through a global pandemic and the Paro Nacional. We went through over a year of virtual learning and witnessed large disparities. However, this has formed us into socially conscious individuals and strengthened our sense of community.
The Colegio Bolivar Community is enriching, nurturing, and supportive. Additionally, as a Class of 2022 we have created a tight knit community that embraces every single one of us and allows us to grow, which is very valuable. Community is crucial since it transforms us as young individuals and acts as a support system in face of challenges and adversity.
As we graduate, and each of us heads into a different path, I encourage you to actively seek a fostering community that embraces and supports you, just as the Colegio Bolivar Community has during our time here.
Regardless of the direction you take next year, always remember the community that raised you. Our roots are here at Colegio Bolivar, Cali, and our beautiful country.
