M.I.G.O.S

(Mentors and Innovators Guiding Our School)

Is a program in which 8th graders act as mentors to 6th graders and new students. This group of students really lives out are value of sense of community and ensures all students have someone to support them.

Advisory

The Advisory program is essential to Middle School where students receive academic support, socioemotional support and digital citizenship to be productive and positive members in the section and outside of school.

Middle school students enroll into small advisory groupings (10-12 students) that meet regularly with an assigned Advisory teacher who provides ongoing support and monitors student wellbeing.

Advisory teachers work closely with our counseling team to identify students in need of support, be it academic or socioemotional.

National Junior Honor Society

Students apply to the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) at the end of 6th and 7th Grade.  The members are current 7th and 8th grade students.  Students need a cumulative GPA (Grade Point Average) of 3.6 or higher to be considered and they need to show evidence of Scholarship, Character, Leadership, Service, and Citizenship which make up the other pillars of NJHS.  Students in NJHS support the middle school academically and socially in different ways.
