    B) Characteristics of the Temporary Financial Assistance Program

    • Assistance is granted for up to one school year and is limited to one (1) scholarship per family, awarded to the eldest child.
    • The school reserves the right to allocate the assistance funds in the event that the student does not start the school year.
    • The granted amount is partial and does not cover the full annual tuition. Depending on the analysis of each case, assistance ranges from 25% to 50% of the tuition fee.
    • The allocation of funds will be determined by the ASOBOLIVAR Commission based on a thorough analysis of the information provided by the applicant. Priority is given to students who have been enrolled for a longer duration and to the severity of the crisis.
    • Starting from the 2010-2011 school year, this program is extended from 3 to 4 years for families with students in Grade 12, provided that the Fund has surplus resources, and the overall performance of the applicant student is excellent (within the top 25% of their respective grade) in academic achievements, character, personal aptitudes, and relationships with peers.

    C) Conditions of Temporary Financial Assistance

    • It is a requirement that the family is in good standing with the school at the time of enrollment in order to be eligible for Temporary Financial Assistance.
    • Families receiving Temporary Financial Assistance are responsible for meeting their payment obligations to the school.
    • Assistance will be lost if there is a delay in payments for four (4) consecutive months or if the family’s extraordinary situation changes favorably.
    • It is important to fill out all sections of the Temporary Financial Assistance application form. If a section does not apply (N.A.), please indicate so. (Do not leave any section blank.)
    • Students in 7th to 12th grade may be requested to contribute to certain school programs through work, as a form of compensation for the assistance received. These activities will be predetermined by the principal of the respective academic section.
    • If the family’s extraordinary situation changes favorably, the school must be notified in writing, expressing the revocation of the Temporary Financial Assistance.

Rest assured that the history of each family at Colegio Bolivar will be the best reference for any assistance request.
